Southport Wreckers has a Strictly Guaranteed 60 Day Warranty Policy on all Faulty Items sold over the counter or on our Online Shop.
- Any Car Part that is sold over the counter and is found to be faulty within those 60 days, will be offered a replacement part 100% Guaranteed.
- Each case is subject to reasoning, as some car parts can be destroyed by malpractice and improper installation practices.
- Only when a replacement / Swap-over item cannot be located or sourced, will Southport Wreckers Offer a Cash Refund on the Part.
- If the goods are destroyed by a separate car part, the warranty will not be accepted. (Pulley destroys the tensioner).
- Electrical components will not be covered under warranty unless evidence is supplied to us (due to not be able to test some items off car)
Southport Wreckers does not offer a Cash Refund on any Car Parts purchased to then have the customer change his mind.
- Labour and associated business costs are expensive, and in order to stay afloat in such a competitive market, is paramount that we do not offer this service, as the public can abuse that right, and manipulate sellers.
- It is within reason for Southport Wreckers to offer a Credit Note to the store in special circumstances.
- Repeat Customers / Dealers may be subject to special delimitations, allowing them to have a more streamline trade relationship with our shop.
Southport Wreckers has a FIRM Policy Against the return of Car Parts brought through a lack of due-diligence.
- When purchasing car parts from Southport Wreckers, make sure that the item you are purchasing is indeed the part required to fix any associated issues / panels on your car!
- We do not have a cataloging / shelving system making it hard for us to simply “put it back”.
- Money is spent removing the car part for you, and cleaning it up for your requirements.
- Upon the request to return a car part because it did not fix your issue will be met with swift denial, and recommendations about the next step.
If you can prove that our Yard Member confirmed that that part is what you need, then special circumstances may apply. EXAMPLE: We sell you an engine, and recommend you put a new alternator on it…. Reality is there was nothing wrong with yours, so you would like to return it. This would apply
Our 2 Month or 60 Day Warranty policy covers you in the event that the Used Engine we supply to you suffers critical failure after installing it.
Here are some scenarios that Would Be covered by us:
- Piston Ring Failure caused by excessive wear and or/ Kilometres not otherwise stipulated within the original advertisement.
- Loss of compression when the engine Has Not been overheated between the purchase date and current.
- Loss of oil pressure due to damaged or faulty oil pump causing subsequent damage to the engine.
- Cracks / Splits / Breaks off any engine block components caused by heating and cooling cycles in the past. (Not Pipes, Hoses, Plugs)
- Excessive Oil Burning within 60 Days of the Original installation date could be covered where the.
- Engines damaged between loading it onto the truck, an arrival to your doorstep.
Some Scenarios where the motor WOULD NOT be covered:
- Engine overheated due to improper installation (Our Heat Tab System detects this)
- Engine Seized due to No Oil Added.
- Engine Rod bend/snap due to Hydro locking caused by improper installation.
- Instances of Over-Revving caused by Lack of Due Care and Attention.
- Engines Damaged between unloading from Truck, and Installation into the Car.
Our 2 Month or 60 Day Warranty policy covers you in the event that the Used Gearbox we supply to you suffers critical failure after installing it.
Here are some scenarios that Would Be covered by us:
- Any gear, including reverse is excessively noisy and/or the synchros are out of line causing improper gear shifts.
- Any gear’s or final drives are lost or break in between the 60 day warranty time.
- Any damaged between loading the gearbox on our end, and delivery to your end.
- Any slipping or functionality issues including 4×4 components, electrical etc etc.
Here are some scenarios that Would not be covered by us:
- Any gearbox that suffers total failure involved in Drag Racing and/or any form of street sports driving would not be covered.
- Any gearbox that is damaged during installation into the vehicle.
- Any seizing caused by a lack of internal oil.
Our 2 Month or 60 Day Warranty policy covers you in the event that the Used Transmission we supply to you suffers critical failure after installing it.
Here are some scenarios that Would Be covered by us:
- Any Excessive Slipping present after the transmission fluid system is properly bled.
- Any knocking, noises or electrical issues not caused by the TCM (Transmission Control Module) In this case we would require proof that the TCM has been checked.
- Any Metal Shavings that are the result of component failure within the transmission.
Here are some scenarios that Would not be covered by us:
- Any damage caused by any form of motor racing whatsoever.
- Any damage caused to the transmission installation procedure.
- Any damage caused by dirty or contaminated fluid within the system.
Our 2 Month or 60 Day Warranty policy covers you in the event that the electrical components we supply to you suffers product failure after installing it. We will test to make sure electrical components are functioning correctly before sending it.
Here are some scenarios that Would Be covered by us:
- If the electrical components are found to have an error within the programming etc
- If the electrical components at first appear to be working, but develop an issue after heating up etc.
- If the electrical components have a physical abnormality that render the product unusable.
Here are some scenarios that Would not be covered by us:
- If the product is damaged when installing it.
- If the electrical problem is caused by a separate issue, we do not offer returns.
- If the electrical product is damaged by an other electrical product, we cannot accept returns.
- If the product has been used in a custom scenario, and it doesn’t last the intended time we cannot cover this.
